Progressive Dems to Support Green Party Recount in Ohio
JESSE JACKSON TO VISIT OHIO SUNDAY AND LEND SUPPORT TO GREEN PARTY RECOUNT

November 27, 2004
Greetings!

We have exciting news to report about the Ohio recount. Progressive Democrats of America has been working closely with a coalition of various groups regarding the election inconsistencies in Ohio. We recently teamed up with Rev. Jesse Jackson, Sr. and Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) to work on bringing national media attention back to the subject of apparent election fraud in Ohio.

Many Americans have been misinformed about Ohio, and are not aware a vote recount will soon be underway. We are working on a detailed story about election fraud and recent actions in Ohio for this week's newsletter, but we wanted to go ahead and bring you this breaking news:
Tomorrow there will be a press conference and rally in Columbus, Ohio. The press conference will address issues of voter intimidation and election fraud. The following rally will be highlighted by a keynote speech from Rev. Jackson. If you are close enough to attend, we strongly encourage you do so. Our Executive Editor, Alysia Fischer, will be there to report on the event. A strong turn-out from the grassroots is important; the larger the event, the more successful it will be in terms of media exposure.

Event Specifics:

Mt. Herman Missionary Baptist Church 2283 Sunbury Road Columbus, OH Pastor: Rev Donald Washington (614) 471-1133

2:30pm Press Conference
3:30pm Rally

If you cannot attend the Columbus event, you can still participate in the movement for a full and fair recount. In particular, pressure must be put on John Kerry to support a recount in Ohio. You can send your message to Kerry, the DNC and the Government Accountability Office at: www.thepen.us/e-fraud.html. We will have more information regarding the 2004 election recounts in this week's newsletter.

Help us Support this Effort! Dontate to the Cause Today!
Sincerely,

Tim Carpenter & Kevin Spidel
Progressive Democrats of America

4. That he has the best interest of us winning at heart.
If Kerry spooke up before there was simple explainable in 2 sentences proof that Ohio could flip, the media would eathim alive in 24 hours and this whole thing would be over. The Ohio Dems and the Glibs are the best people to do this until there is uncontrovertable evidence. Kerry is smart. That is why he would make a better President.

5. Thanks Kevin
I hope it is on CSPAN as you said in the post above. I will not be here to watch for it, I hope to see something about it later. Lets hope this recount shows enough to the public to get this issue taken care of. Everything is at stake. Thanks for your work.

6. I wish Dan Rather would go to work for the liberal talk radio people
like Al Franken and maybe expose all this stuff. What does he have to lose now that he won't be working for CBS. He could become the media hero of the century! We should write to him and ask him to do it!

7. Great idea
Hopefully he would be willing to volunteer his time, maybe just once per week for like a Sunday show or something like that. I'm not sure if the network would be able to pay his salary as it was on CBS. But yes, he could be doing all kinds of great progressive work, digging up documents, etc. Does he have a blog where we could petition him?
