Dr. Freeman has updated his paper
Dr. Freeman sent me his updated paper just a few minutes ago.

This thing has been uploaded all over the Internet so I need your help. Please help get the old version replaced with the new.
New document is titled: "Exitpoll discrep v00o.pdf"

The update can be downloaded from:

http://www.dakotatechnics.com/downloads/Steve_Freeman.zip

Remember, my server is kind of slow, so it would help for others to download and put it up where their networks can get it directly from them.

Thank you!

1. Summary and Implications
<snip>

Summary and Implications

In this paper, I have tried to demonstrate that:

• exit poll data are fundamentally sound,

• the deviations between exit poll predictions and vote tallies in the three critical
battleground states could not have occurred strictly by chance or random error, and that

• no explanations of the discrepancy have yet been provided.

The unexplained discrepancy leaves us with two broad categories of hypotheses: the exit poll data are wrong or misleading in ways that have not yet been adequately explained, or the count is wrong. It’s important that we review exit poll data and methodology and soon while the evidence is fresh, but such analyses require NEP’s raw data.40 Particularly useful statistical analyses would compare the “shift” in states, counties and precincts where safeguards are strong vs. those where they are suspect. Even more important, however, are investigation into the multitude of allegations and concerns about the count itself.

<snip>

Widespread assumption of misplay undermines not only the legitimacy of the President, but faith in the foundations of the democracy. That the President did not legitimately win the election is a still a very premature conclusion, but the election’s unexplained exit poll discrepancies make it an unavoidable hypothesis. In this paper, I have tried to make the case that the media, academia, polling agencies, and law enforcement agencies should investigate it with a much greater sense of urgency and responsibility than they have thus far shown.

Keep this kicked to the front until everyone had gotten home from work and had the opportunity to find it.

You all will be the first to know when Part II is ready.

Thanks much!

7. don't overlook the importance of this study as evidence
I saw, but didn't have time to read, a post saying Bev Harris didn't think these studies would get the job done, rather what was needed was evidence like she found in Florida (of the voter receipts being altered.) I think the post said that statistics couldn't prove voter fraud. I disagree.

There are a lot of ways to slice and dice the data, and what we will get are a number of professional, scientific studies showing long odds that the republicans are just lucky. Once we get a bunch of them, someone can do a study on the odds they're all wrong.

The cover stories put out to explain away these findings will fall by the wayside. Statistics can land your ass in jail. How many people have been exonerated or convicted by DNA? The alleles are matched and the odds get longer and longer the more matches are made. The prosecutor doesn't tell the jury that he/she knows for a fact that the DNA is a match - they say the odds are 1 in X... it's the same for the elections of 2000, 2002, and 2004. When every statistical anomaly points the same way, every upset goes against a democrat... eventually a conclusion will be drawn.

24. the value of this imho
Many people are in deep denial about what is happening. This document is not the best thing to give everyone, and won't do much to change the mind of Bush voters. But if you have intelligent liberal skeptics, pass this to them and let them draw their own conclusions.
