There's no way you can get everybody excited about a candidate that lost. Gore maybe could run again because he actually won (the popular vote at any rate), but no way for Kerry.

John Kerry did a great job. Yes there were missteps that cost us but when one considers the media he was up against and the money he was up against he did well and did a great job unifying us. Nixon barely lost to Kennedy, but his two wins were both against candidates who would've been anybody's punching bag. Humphrey was a loser the moment he ran, and McGovern never stood a chance either, particularly after the press had a field day with his VP candidate.

16. Kerry's "deafening silence"

This is Goddess40's mom. David Cobb, Green Party, was just on WI Public Radio. He has won the chance for an Ohio recount. He said he was stunned with Kerry's quick conceding to Bush, especially in view of all the voter controversy. Cobb said he thinks Kerry did this because if he wants to run in 2008 he doesn't want to be viewed as a whiner and disruptive force! How about being viewed as one who rolls over?

... since it is his brother, Cam's, law firm heading the recounting in OH and other states. This time, they are making their move under the radar instead of in the media's scrutiney and giving more attention to the gloating Repugs.

Just because you don't see it hapening doesn't mean it isn't happening. I"m willing to wait to see what the final outcome is.

I have been giving Kerry the benefit of the doubt, even when other people weren't, but after hearing David Cobb this morning I have serious doubts.

The recount in Ohio is being funded by donations to David Corn (votecorn.org) and the Libertarian party.

The recount in NH is being funded by Nader voters.

Where is Kerry? Working under the radar is fine, but apparently they are not funding anything yet he sits on 51 million that could be spent to be sure this election was fair and fraud free?

Why would anybody support a person who lets an election get stolen out from under him without so much as a whimper?

And if it is stolen again, as it was in 2000, why would anybody want to support another Democrat if they just roll over? Al Gore ran out of money with only 3 million leftover. There is no excuse for Kerry to roll over here. Nobody will support him in 2008 if he lets this pass.

Next time I will support a candidate that is out there making sure the votes are counted fairly and every vote counts. Apparently that is not John Kerry.
