Joe Trippi for DNC Chair
There's been a lot of talk about Howard Dean for DNC Chair, which I think is a great idea. However, it seems to me that the DNC Chair is usually a Democratic operative, as opposed to the kind of person who's actually a candidate for office. When a potential candidate becomes a DNC Chair, isn't he sullied by his becoming an insider-politico? Wouldn't appointing Dean as DNC Chair kill his presidential chances in '08?

Wouldn't Joe Trippi then really be a more appropriate choice than Dean? He could manage the Democrat netroots revolution, and could help lay the groundwork for a successful Dean run in '08.

2. Can you say ... $41 million dollars mis-spent ??
He'd be more effective for the Dems if he ran the RNC the same way he ran the Dean Campaign ...

:hippie:

3. No
Please read Howard Deans book and you will come to understand what he thinks the Democratic needs to do, and why. He would be, by far, the best choice to lead the kind of party I want to belong to.

4. Uhhh....no
not too impressed with him.
Squandered all that money and did a pretty good job of giving ammo to the RW when he was serving as pundit on TV. Who needs that?!?

5. Good call but..
I was thinking about this the other day. I don't think Howard's ambition lies in another run, I think he want's to further his efforts in reshaping the party. We need him as party chairman or somehow in this role.

6. Nope, the party will just tie his hands and try to shut him up.
Not a good idea.

7. fuck no
He is one of the weakest talking heads of the Dem party.

Is he really a Dem or is he on one side to grab some green? After a few of his spots on Tweety's program I think it's the later!

14. God what a horrible frigging idea.
The guy is a sleazeball asshole. He spread more lies and bullshit in the democratic primary than I need mention right now, and to top it all off, he completely stole a kings ransom worth of the money he misguided people into donating to his subpar candidate.

15. No freakin' way
If you want to see how bad Trippi is and would be, check out how he left Howard Dean high and dry in Iowa and didn't return his phone calls. That's after spending $39 million in a state that he admitted that Dean could never win.

Yeah...just what we need.

16. I see that you're new so don't take...
opposition personally because we are a spirited and opinionated bunch, but Trippi???

Horrors!

Big, big mistake; Dean has to be the one. He's the only one who can shape up the Democratic party. :)
