It has been an hour since Cheney went in and there hasn't been any information coming out of the hospital. Looks like a news blackout to me!

15. Well, it takes a long time to hook up all the wires

IIRC, they hook up about 30 sensors to your body, from head to toes (one on each big toe), with that sticky stuff that tears your hair out when you pull them off (Ouch! That's gotta smart, Dick!). Then they jam a big ol' IV needle in his arm (probably bruised from having too many IVs), and tape it down, being careful to pull some hairs with the tape so it itches.

Then they stare at the read outs for awhile, but they can't give you any pain relief until they know what's going on. I think it's at least an hour's time before they even figure out if you're having a heart attack or not.

In Dick's case, it's a lot harder, because his tiny black heart doesn't generate much current for the EKG to read.

In any case, he's probably fairly uncomfortable right now.
