Toilet paper manufacturer refuses to sell to red states
http://shitbegone.com/

With sadness and resolve, ShitBegone Paper on November 4, 2004 announced an immediate economic embargo against the "Red States." We hope this embargo will be the first of many by other companies and individuals located in the "Blue States." We cannot in good conscience do business with states which have made an informed choice to actively sponsor war and terrorism. Nor can we support the Red States' decision to affirm and expand policies of official bigotry and denial of human rights, up to and including false imprisonment and torture, against ethnic, religious, and cultural minorities in the Red and Blue States and abroad.

Accordingly, ShitBegone will no longer ship our products to customers in the Red States, nor will we accept credit cards billed to addresses in the Red States. Those Red State residents who wish to support the embargo by using ShitBegone, will need to travel to a Blue State to obtain it. We welcome you with open arms, and hope you will make your move permanent, to aid in the further isolation of your misguided Red State neighbors.

16. ShitBeGone's position on the red/blue maps..
Election maps: Red, Blue and Purple

There has been a great deal of "buzz" on the Internet this week after the election, about the so-called "purple map" which shows the Bush or Kerry leanings of each state or county. Most commentators have focused on the fact that most states/counties went for Bush or Kerry by only a few percent. That focus and the image of the "purple map" suggest the possibility of reconciliation of the "great divide" in America— or at least the idea that we are not all that different.
Unfortunately, while soothing to some, the "purple map" is simply not a good representation of the way our political system works.

In showing the voting percentage of each county on a graduated scale, it ignores the "winner take all" aspect of both the electoral college system and the office of President generally.

That's why the original, red/blue state map, not the county map or purple map, remains a better representation of the election.

For the truest representation of the results of the Presidential election, we would actually have to go farther, and show the entire country, with no internal divisions, all bright red.

That is because we only have 1 president, and he clearly views his 52% as a "mandate" to do whatever the hell he wants, the rest of us be damned.

So it does not matter how blue or purple a county is on the purple county map-- for the next 4 years at least, 100% of its people will live under a bright red federal government.

All the gradated maps seem to me just an attempt to make progressives (who lost the election) feel good, when there is no reason to feel good. There is however every reason to feel bad, and angry, and motivated to maintain our divisions and fight back.

In short, there is every reason to divide up the country by states and have a civil war as soon as possible. That is the approach I favor, which is represented by the ShitBegone embargo on Red states.

The longer we wait to fight back aggressively, the weaker we in the Blue areas will be. We Blues must not abandon our core Blue values. We must not fall for the trick that it is somehow OK to be governed by Red, since we are all just Purple anyway.

So let's get it on...

24. From Missouri. Up until now even in the out house.
I see they advertise ShitBegone as "long lasting". Does that mean you can use it more than once? Must be for the environmentally conscious in the Blue States.
