5. That's NOT our DU. It is a reference to the 60s.
Notice the couple are aging hippies. During the sixties there was a lot of talk of an underground movement that was supposed to bring about a revolution. And some high profile people like Cathy Wilkerson (Wanted for murder.)dissappeared for many years into it. Some still haven't resurfaced.

The movement lost power quickly, and has continued to lose.

13. They would not attack us, unless they viewed us as a serious threat.
So this is VERY GOOD news. We ARE getting under their skin.

Just remember that each of us has individual power that cannot be stripped through this sort of--dare I say--CARICATURE, PARODY, AND SATIRE?

Anonymity is our friend.

Sitting on his front porch couch, with his mini fridge next to him - wearing a wife beater shirt that's all stained up. A big beer in his hand, missing teeth - with his wife behind him, in her white trash sweats and nascar t-shirt. Then as her DH is cursing them libruls, she can ask if the public aid check came yet, so that she can go buy some smokes.

Meanwhile 13 kids are hanging out the windows, half dressed - one holding a gun, all filthy, and garbage all over the front yard!

they put a b/c yard sign out several weeks ago. The sign is still in their "yard" and I get to laugh every time I drive by.

There was a hilarious exchange of snarky letters between him and Roger Ebert published in the Sun-Times.

Code for the French Resistance that the Allies would soon be landing and that now is the time to rise up against the Nazis. Unintentionally ironic, it would seem.

meant "Cut communications wires in your sector"

And my old sigline, "Les enfants s'ennuient le Dimanche" meant "It's off for tomorrow. Listen for further information."

32. Jack Higgins-as relentless as he is relentlessly unfunny
why the sun-times still has him in their employ and how he's won the pulitzer is beyond me. half of his cartoons continues to make fun of John Edwards's two americas theme, so much so that it has ceased being funny and has become downright mundane.
