Karl Rove must be laughing his ass off
We are passing up an opportunity to get millions of disappointed people involved. We are passing up the election fraud issue.

Played right, it's a national issue that could pull in voters of all stripes. Let's fight for democracy at home. Why the hell not?

1. Rove sized Kerry up with his reaction
to the Swift Boat liars. He knew Kerry wouldn't go down swinging.

And, yes, you can bet he's been laughing his pasty little ass off for a week. Getting away with it this time means four more years to perfect the process. The "will of the people" will never stand in the way of these thugs.

2. also what rove did
when bush threw out the part where he would support a GMA ......bush knew it wouldn't pass....but rove didn't stop.....he went out to every state and church group to get their support for bush...this was leg work that was in the making probably since the time the Democratic candidates were debating monist themselves.

also in a c-span2 segment I heard Webster Brooks of low country chespeake society say the religious voters canceled the black vote.....this man is black and he did say that perhaps the black voters should change to an Independent candidate next time........that'll be a hell of a loss for our party!

One way or another, this issue WILL bring the adminstration down eventually. The only questions are will the Democrats get ahead of it or continue to be asleep at the wheel, and how much misery is ahead of us if we postpone confronting the issue.

When I show Republicans the problems with this election, they ALL say "why aren't the Democrats fighting this???"

Dissident Republicans will now have to bring this adminstration down, and the Democratic party is running the risk of going down in history as Quislings.

The test for Democrats -

- Courage- standing up and fighting for your own interests, if nothing else, and ideally for what is right and patriotic

- Duty - as the opposition party, representing the opposition, not the appeasers

- Patriotism - defending and protecting the Constitution from usurpation when it is in maximum peril

- Morality - doing what is right rather than merely what will win

The labels that the RNC have successfully hung on the Democratic party are "immoral, spineless, and anti-American" and failing to fight this election theft is reinforcing those three ideas.

I fear that most modern Dems consider themselves too worldly and sophisticated to respond to something as corny as a call to patriotism, but I keep trying.

"A true patriot would keep the attention of his fellow citizens awake to their grievances, and not allow them to rest till the causes of their just complaints are removed. Our ship is in the hands of pilots who are steering directly under full sail to a rock. The whole crew may see this course to violate our liberties in full view if they look the right way."

- Sam Adams 1771
