Do you think Rudy will be appointed Attorney General?
and does this eliminate his running for president in 2008, or will he use it as a stepping stone? If he is appointed Atty. Gen. he would have to probably resign after 2006, so to devote time to a presidential campaign.

1. i don't know how he can get past the Primary if he were to run for
President. the extremist right wingers who mostly vote in the primary will reject him over things like abortion, gun control, gay rights alone.

3. I could tolerate Rudy as AG
At least any abuses under Rudy will actually be in the pursuit of criminals and such and not in the pursuit of librarians.

Rudy as mayor went after peaceful protestors, innocent minorities, was opposed to free speech. he was horrible.

8. I don't know
He wasn't so concerned about the pursuit of criminals when Amadou Diallo was killed.

6. don't expect anyone who seems like a competitor to the Shrub
expect some compliant bureaucrat type. I like Larry Johnson. Big Plus: He's an Afro-American compliant type like Colin and Condi.

9. I just assmed Guiliani would become VP
Cheney is not a viable candidate in 2008 for MANY reasons. I see Cheney stepping down in '05 or '06 citing "medical reasons" and then I suspect Guilliani will be chosen.

13. I think this would piss off a lot of the GOP faithful
If it looked like the lame duck White House was trying to appoint its successor.
