How do we know the Kerry team isn't working on this?
Edited on Tue Nov-09-04 12:47 AM by gauguin57
I mean, how could they do it in the open? The Rethugs would be all over them with "Sore Loserman" and dirty tricks.

If they are gonna do this at all, they have to do it quietly. They have to get their ducks in a row so they have a good case before opening a can of worms.

So, I'm not assuming the Dems are doing nothing till I have proof positive.

1. Exactly...
.. we DON'T know.. and we shouldn't.

Assuming something is afoot, I would wager less than 10 people know EXACTLY what is going on. Like you said, all ducks must be in a row, everything must be AIR TIGHT, IRON CLAD. Else the blowback will be worse than it is now.

Fat Lady don't sing till around the 1st of December.

3. There you go
So many people disagree that anything is happening under the radar because they can't see it or John Kerry doesn't announce it to us. Which wouldn't exactly be 'under the radar', so,..... Some people are mightily confused. It could be me, though! It so often is. ;)

But not this time. I agree with you. :toast:

And the Lady won't be warbling until December 13th. Even better!

2. OK..here are some hints
Edited on Tue Nov-09-04 12:53 AM by zulchzulu
Kerry is a lawyer and a former prosecutor.

Edwards is a lawyer.

Many on the advisory committee have law degrees.

Many within the campaign are lawyers.

This issue about the election was known about for a few years before this election happened.

If you think there is not something happening to investigate what happened, then you are very naive.

Kerry knew the problems with Diebold as well as anyone who has been half-awake in the last few years. Thsi is nothing new. It's just ballsy that the Repugs thought they would get away with it.

Max Cleland even knows how an election can be stolen as well as use nasty character assassinations to win.

This is banana republic politics in the Marcos/Stalin flavor with a little 21st Century technology on the side.

11. Where would they file these cases?
Edited on Tue Nov-09-04 08:46 AM by CalamityJane
Would it be the courts in Ohio and Florida, for example? I have been wondering, if they do come up with the evidence, what institutions do we have that would not be too corrupted by the Republicans. Are there any that would make an effort to determine the truth and not muddy it up into a big mess just to confuse people.

I know Congress won't and the mainstream media won't. I guess I am wondering if there is a chance for SOME kind of redress, like at least people could be told the truth of what actually happened.

On edit: I'm not trying to sound negative or hopeless. I am genuinely wondering about this because I don't know how these type of things work.

17. on Cleland
Somebody on DU posted very early this year about meeting Cleland in person and bringing up the BBV issue and Max discounted it. So, unless somebody has woken him up the last 6 months or so, he may just think it is conspiracy theory stuff.

4. Is there ANY evidence that they are?
I'll take just about any evidence. Anything.

Give me a crumb.

I really really really hope that this is accurate.

Really really.

5. Exactly....A Crumb
Some cryptic statement from someone associated with the campaign. A innuendo filled post by Mrs. Edwards. Perhaps someone high in the media confirming that something is going on, and they're being discouraged from talking about it in the most extreme manner.

Part of me almost wanted the Olbermann story to get blocked or limited, because it would have been further confirmation that something is indeed rotten in Denmark.

The Washington Post has an article about Kerry's plans, coming out today, but where is he? Is it normal for the losing party to be so totally quiet and absent? Has anybody really heard from Kerry or Edwards, or even their campaign team, since last Wednesday?

The outcome isn't going to be pretty. I know a few people who have already told me some of their prophecies along with the ones I'm already aware of from my own dreams. Let's also just say God is pissed and he isn't on Bush's side to give you a little hint.

8. The Gods must be crazy
to just sit back a let *co think God is on there side.

After all of the shit that *co have done for the last 4 years.

And then for them to let *co. try to destroy their opponent by character assassination, smears, lies, hate.

And of course God must be a little peeved that *co are trying to destroy the planet that God provided for all of us. I don't think the Gods would be very thrilled about that...

I think the Gods will seek retribution. they don't like it when they get used the way that the nut-wing party abuses power.

The hands of God are tightening around *co throats.

And like it has been said before Kerry knows A LOT about the skeletons in the *ies closet.
He's exposed quite a bit in his 20 years in the senate.

9. Well...
... that is my last hope. I realize that if they are working on this, the more evidence they can gather before making it public, the better.

Once the GOP knows, the shredding machines will be operating at full capacity. I have to admit, if one WAS going to do a real investigation about this, the more down-low the better.

On the other hand, this is not something that could be kept under wraps too long. Too many people would be on to it.

13. Exactly
Right now the Kerry camp is like a duck--calm and unruffled on the surface and paddling like mad underneath. Of course they're investigating the vote. But they're not going to go public with it until they come up with proof. Then they'll blindside the Repugs with it--probably on a day when Chimpy is announcing his new faith-base retirement plan and people are beginning to think, "Oh shit, what did we get into?"

18. Look at Bev's posts. She hasn't found the holy grail
I mean, by god, we're cheering a NH recount where we won the state because it might provide further evidence to support other unravellings. This is going to be hard enough to get anything under the wire and on any docket before the electoral college meets in Dec. without some silly political sniping that would surely hound Kerry in any public trolling for uncounted votes. This is best left to those who do it best and let them report their progress till some productive completion.
