11. don't count on it
all the talk about organization does mean something. Edwards wins because he's going to be taken seriously for the first time. unless Geph takes number one, he's finished.

6. Is there a 7 letter limit to last names ?
NO ? Then why do you keep calling Gephardt "Gep" ? Why not calling Edwards "Edw" ?

18. What about 'Dick'? LOL
Sorry but the last thing we need is another Dick in the WH.....especially one that's already gotten snookered by the chimp.

7. Just finished my last round of calls
I'm cautiously optimistic.

If turnout in the precinct is close to the previous turnout, we sweep.

We're locked for at least 35% of the delegates, up to triple turnout.

9. how about an "other" choice?
I support Edwards, but am also ABB, and feeling neither confident nor anxious.

I'm happy Iowans seem to be getting to know and like Edwards. If he does anything but a distant fourth tomorrow, that is a great success, as he was pretty far back as recently as 10 days ago.

17. Dean and Confident
Until a month or so ago Dean looked like he would only place second in Iowa if that. With the race this close I think it means very little.

If Dean were to lose badly it would be a blow, but I do NOT expect that. I expect that Dean will win due to his organizational and grassroots support.

I think New Hampshire is critical and I am confident but cautiously so there.

A complete loss might well hurt in New Hampshire -- but asd it goes now it looks like they will be dividing the cake pretty evenly and it comes down to NH.

Each candidate needs 15% to be a contender. All four seem to have that generally so it looks like a wash and therefore does not hurt Dean at all.

22. A blowout would hurt
But it looks like the worst case scenario is that Dean comes in fourth.

Then you realize that the difference between first and fourth is likely to be less than 2%.

It's a horserace and whoever wins will do it by a nose.

24. Very, very anxious
I'm a nervous person by nature, but I admit I am really anxious. I think I had prepared myself for Kerry getting under 10% of the vote and his momentum, while great, is making feel nervous. I'm just hoping he's in the top three.

A news crew just left my house about an hour ago and I couldn't even answer the reporter's question about my predictions. All I could squeak out was something about Kerry doing much better than anyone would have anticipated two weeks ago. Lame answer, but at least I'm confident in that much.

25. Edwards, and confident.
I have been watching politics long enough now (40+ years) to know a winner when I see one. Edwards has IT; the momentum will build, and carry him now. I have no doubt that KKKRove fears him the most for November.

28. Gephardt, and confident
The polls mean little, and the four of them will probably end up only a few points away from each other. Still, I think Gep can pull it out in the end.
