3. Look, it's nearly impossible to unseat

an incumbent president when there is a war on. And particularly when they add in culutral wedge issues.

You can blame folks who voted against their own self interest, and those too self absorbed or apathetic to show up. And you can damn sure blame the rethug party for lying their asses off on a non-stop basis. But you really can't blame Kerry. At least I don't think so. They ran a good campaign.
