1. Sorry, but you'd lose LinkTV, Comedy Central and Sundance, too.

7. So? I work very hard, seven days a week, don't care to clog up my lungs
with cigarette smoke at a comedy club (like Jon Stewart would be there anyway!), need some entertainment, and have been fighting to solve the "problem" for forty years.

8. You can get the good stuff (HBO) on dvd. There's movies, music
books on tape. TV is crap anyway but the news channels are why we are living with this nightmare.

3. Oh, Gawd! CAN'T live without the TEEEEEE-VEEEEEEEE!!!!!
Kill the fucking thing.

Go to a comedy club or the local bar and watch the Murkan Sheeple get drunk and silly if you need entertainment.

Buy a shortwave radio.

That will be the ONLY source of half-way honest News by next spring...

Until Mikey Powell's BPL gets implemented and you can't hear a thing for all your neighbours "doing the wireless thing" to check out FR....

Got to convince the ol' mom, but I think she'll go for it.

5. Just as soon as I get the wiring to the new phone jack finished
I will do just that. Until then, I'd need at least a 40' long phone cord to get to the nearest jack. So...

Hopefully next Monday I'll be able to post that I've cancelled it. I have a cable modem and I don't really want to lose internet access for a few days.

9. What about Jon Stewart and Bill Maher??
Those are the only two reasons I keep it around. Although I HATE MY CABLE COMPANY! I can't get anything locally, including Air America.

10. I don't have cable....haven't had it for years.
I have a TV...but just good ol' rabbit ears for reception. I don't ever see the Daily Show...or Bill Maher.

I watch PBS...use the internets( ;) )...and listen to music.

You'll get used to it pretty quickly.

If it weren't for BBC America, LinkTV, and Free Speech TV, I might.

PS: Sundance, IFC, Comedy Central.
