Thanks to all of you! Was nice to find an oasis of like minded people. Most of you are very witty and bright - made me laugh and gave me lots to think about. I learned a lot from the members here. I made a vow to myself that after the election I was going to go on a news fast. Even though the election is still in the air I'm sticking to it for my own sanity and am turning off the noise. No TV, no radio...just me and some herb tea and a good book today. The news will not be any different because I didn't spend my day obsessing over it or waste a day watching the same news being stated over and over and over. I may not be first to hear what happened BUT I will hear it eventually. Keep your chin up guys and gals. We're down but not out.

One of the reasons I signed up for election judge duty yesterday was to keep away from the media. I was so darned tired last night I fell out at 9:30. Whereas I'm very disappointed in the election, at least I was more productive & less insane than I would have been here at DU hitting 'refresh' every few mintues!

I have a good book that's been waiting 2 months to be read & a new electric kettle to heat water for my tea!
