Of course there was fraud, but...
that doesn't mean we still didn't lose.

We knew about Sproul and the other registration shennanigans.

We knew about the absentee ballot problems.

We knew about voter suppresssion.

We knew about BBV.

But, well over 50,000,000 of our fellow citizens still voted for the wrong side, and not all of that was fraud.

They put more Republicans into Congress, and not all of that was fraud.

We've been riding the crest of a conservative wave that's come over this country. Ignorance, stupidity, and short term greed are the orders of the day.

Churches are preaching "life" for fetuses, but ignoring the deaths of hundreds of thousands of living humans.

Families who have seen their real incomes decline believe tax cuts are the answer.

Families who have lost everything in hurricanes, through disease, through lost pensions, crime... They believe we are more secure if we bomb Fallujah into dust.

Petty moralists believe that a drunken serial killer has more "character" just because he didn't get a blowjob in the Oval Office.

We can waste our time placing blame on the propagandists, the press, the thieves, but it is more than them. It is a corrupt movement that has been driving the country rightward, and there is no movement to oppose them.

We have no Big Issue that has been clear enough to unite us.

We have no united clear and obvious moral stand that the others can be brought to. We might think we have, but they don't see it.

War won't do it. Too many people like war, particularly when they don't have to fight it or pay for it.

Economics, the environment, civil rights and other issues won't do it. They are too far below most people's radar.

For now, we are seen by half the country as just the whining opposition.

This too shall pass.

Our job now is to keep up the pressure on everything they are doing.

And to try to change Congress the next time around and bring sanity back to the country.

1. You admit to fraud, so how do you know how many Americans voted for Bush?
How do you know your vote for Kerry wasn't recorded as a vote for Bush?

I'll never believe Bush fairly won the popular vote.

It's just not humanly possible.

2. They can't steal 50 million votes...
so I still go for the stupidity of the American people over fraud.

Fraud just helped them get over the top. They shouldn't have been so close in the first place.

4. They don't have to steal 50 million votes
But they can steal 100,000 votes in 50 states.

5. That's how Kennedy won...
cherrypicking individual key counties all over the country. Two votes stolen in Sheepdip county meant more than a hundred in NYC.

But, as much fraud as there probably was in this election we are still left with half the voting population that just doesn't get it. This administration is the worst in US history and has left death and destruction everywhere it's touched. It should have lost in a landslide, but it didn't.

And that's the real problem.

on everything they are doing." Absolutely! Count me in on that one.
