This election should teach us something. The vote FOR the war:
To all of our Dem Congressmen and women and Senators who voted FOR giving Bush the blank check: It damn sure wasn't worth it, was it?
Maybe from now on all of you will stand on Dem principles, develop some backbone. By trying to "appease" the opposition, you lost and lost big time!! You didn't really "represent" your own constituencies but rather your own political interests...and what has it wrought? The opposition never gave you any credit for your support and they are ridiculing and even lying about you now. If you haven't learned from this, please step aside and give your seat to a real liberal.

2. Amen.
Those who voted to authorize the president made a big political mistake, regardless the correctness of the vote.

3. Your Pontication Is Irrelevant. This Has NOTHING To Do W/ DNC
DLC or Dean not getting the nomination.

It has to do with Voter Fraud and outright massive scale Election THEFT.

So save your "real liberal" analysis.

If you aren't willing to stand up and TRY to fight this thing right NOW... then your opinion is just the hot air of a wannabe martyr.

7. I am disgusted with myself for agreeing
with you But I do.
And we will have to fight it if we are to have any freedom left at the end of it all but we will have to fight smart and not so gullible as before.

8. Agree, in terms of Iraq, we should have taken a bold stand against
that war. Liberal social issues hurt us though. It's a difficult balancing act. But that's what I admired about Dean, Clinton, and Clark; pro-military but not scaring off the rest of the electorate. Waging a "beter war" just didn't cut it.

...because I've been saying it here on DU since shrub began rattling his saber.

I've got to go get ready for class, and I'd better not get started on this topic now anyway.

on edit: meant to be a reply to the initial thread poster. I'm still pretty bleary....

10. Frost falls to Sessions- a lesson - Texas House race
Martin Frost's commercials centered on what a allies Frost and Bush have been in the war on terror. And Frost mentioned a number of times during the campaign how he had helped GHWBush. GHWBush quickly dismissed Frost's assertions.

Strong on defense & supporter of the Iraq War resolution, Martin Frost lost to Pete Sessions handily.

Yeah, the district was majority Rep. But when given a choice between Rep. & Rep. lite, well, there's no denying the real thing.
