Dick Durbin for Minority Leader
Reid is too boring and Dodd is too "old guard", Durbin's a midwesterner, tough minded and right about the issues. He should be a fighting face for the next few years.

8. My thoughts exactly
We need a leader from a safe state - I will get flamed for this, but in many ways I am glad Daschle lost.

9. Absolutely! A tough, articulate, principled Senator from a very blue state!
The Democrats must not pick another compromised, red state Senator!
