Now that the repukes have taken the White House, Congress, the House and Senate, and Shrub has free reign to stack the supreme court with far right, christian fundies, get ready for some wild sh!t to come down the pike. There were two new senators elected yesterday, I can't remember their names, but they make Shrub look like a flaming liberal. They want to make it illegal for gays and unwed mothers to teach in our schools. These people that are in charge now will set this country back 400 years to a time when we were all brewing up eye of newt and bleeding people to get rid of their sickness. We, and I don't mean us here on DU, I mean the country as a whole, have sold the United States out to a bunch of people who make Hitler look like a saint. This win only serves to further their resolve that the fortunate son has been chosen by God and God is behind our every move. Look forward now to Row Vs. Wade to be overturned, further restrictions on freedom of speech, a new war somewhere, the draft, the joining of church and state, the end to the teaching of evolution in our schools, $100 a barrel gas price, and a 1 trillion dollar deficit by the time this idiot son leaves office in 2008 which will be followed by the retiring of the first wave of baby boomers, sucking their money out of their 401k's driving the market into the dumps. Religious doctrin will be spread far and wide and the progress of science will be slowed to a crawl, sending a rippling effect for years and years to come. Sound like gloom and doom? It's reality, mark my words. Save this post and pull it out in 4 years and see if I'm not right.
