9. That'll make it close.
If it stays that proportion, that would give us 95,000 more votes. We can hope that the poorer (minority) districts take longer so it will be more proportionally skewed our way, and maybe be 110,000-120,000. That's not quite enough to close the gap by itself, but maybe the rest of the state can pick up the rest.

if you figure a 5% increase in turnout, Kerry will need to take 56% of the remaining votes. He is currently getting 63% of Cuyahoga with about half precincts reporting, but there are other places where Bush is leading, and the calculation gets more complex.

Looks like it could be a long night/day tomorrow.

Anyone have a projection on the turnout over 2000?

22. 67% reporting in Cuyahoga now....
The gap for the whole state is ~ 127,000. I think Kerry can pick up 100,000 there, but he's going to have to get more somewhere else.
