Just Watched A PBS Segment on Election Returns

The reporter they had cut to in the GOP headquarters was saying this afternoon and earlier this evening the republicans were very somber about their numbers but now with such a substantial lead over Kerry at the moment they are much more encouraged by their chances for Bush to win this thing. I suppose if I were those creeps I would feel that way too but it just means that all the states being called these past few hours are states that were already colored red.
The implication is quite clear though with the GOP people that were interviewed they really think Bush is going to win this thing. Why do they feel this way when they have to know our blue states have almost never been called yet or relatively few anyway in comparisons. My point is with the GOP colors filling in as expected why they now think they can win this thing.
I am also not entirely sure how and why the GOP got their red states called in such rapid secession and the blue still seeming to be in limbo somewhere.
I have to believe Kerry is going to win this but I tell you I am ready to start feeling as confident as so many of you DU;s out there have been posting say we should.
Do not mean to bring more gray skies but I am just reporting what I saw so you know what's being discussed within the past hour or so.
I saw nothing more on this strange business with ABC to bring cameras into the east or west wing or where ever I saw it. It's probably nothing and if so that is fine with me.
I hope Kerry will win by morning anyway.
