With only 11% of TX precincts reporting, Kerry already has as much in pop
vote as Gore did in 2000 for the total.

Well 1% off. Kerry has 37% of the TX popular vote (again with only 11% of precincts reporting).

I heard anecdotally that all large urban counties in TX are going blue except Dallas County, which came just shy of going blue.

Maybe there is hope in the next few election cycles after all. I'm hoping to turn this place into a swing state in a few years!
