5. I think that's 17% of the total electorate
versus 10% of the total electorate. I clearly remembering reading that about 30% of youth voted last time around, so that means youth turnout has spiked.

7. if this is true, I'm frankly amazed . . .
with all the resources that were poured into getting young people to vote, a turnout this low is beyond disappointing . . . if Bush should manage to win this, they're all looking at time in uniform in some desert somewhere, imo . . .
