administration.
Simply put, both men (and a few others like envrionmentalist Robert Kennedy) have real followings that have stuck with them through thick and thin. If PRESIDENT KERRY is going to rebuild America, instead of just resume pre-2000 style "politics as usual" he is going to need those motivated conglomerations of activists to do it.
There is a natural tendency, once a great victory is won, for the people to figure everything is taken care of, and that it's now okay to get back to the regularly scheduled programming.

Tomorrow is only day one of a long, painful, costly revitalization of this nation and its Constitutional rights and its going to take more than a few rich patrons and an army of lobbyists to do the job.
Its going to take people, lots and lots of people, and if he is serious about getting things done, Kerry has to do whatever it takes to motivate them to back his moves. Putting Dean and Clark and Kennedy on the team will do a lot to make that happen.
