Judy Woodruff: Going down with the ship
Edited on Mon Nov-01-04 03:55 PM by RummyTheDummy
Watching her pathetic little show right now. Repug Ron Brownstein is on poo-pooing Kerry's chances. Judy doesn't seem so sure. She looks sullen. She knows it's over.

It's a great day in America.

4. Truth be told I didn't know who Brownstein was
Until only recently. Since he was from the LA Times, I thought he might be somewhat objective, but literally every time he's on he paints the absolute worse case scnerio for Kerry.

9. Clinton was once asked, when he was in office,
who he thought was the most responsible, fair journalist in America.

He couldn't/wouldn't answer that question, but he did name Ron Brownstein as one of the best.

11. That's interesting
Because every time I see him on any show he's always talking about how Kerry just can't win.

For instance today, he was implying Kerry can't win in Wisconsin.

2. Brownstein started by saying polls don't matter anymore
then all they talked about were the stupid polls.

The whores all know THE story is the early voting turnout, and they're not sharing that story with us.

5. Polls are all they EVER talk about
Which makes it kind of difficult to say that the polls aren't the story.

I want to dismiss them as Secretary of State Cordell Hull did the Japanese diplomats who brought the news of the attack on Pearl Harbor - "Scoundrels and pisspants!"

7. They're about to get something of a come-uppance. I'll bet she...
...looks sullen. She's been so busy sucking the dick of the current administration that she clearly hadn't considered the possibility that they'd fail tomorrow...BWAAHAHHAAHA. I can't WAIT to vote Kerry in.

6. Maybe we should send all the RW pundits links to
"Nearer My God To Thee" http://www.hymnsite.com/lyrics/umh528.sht
(or if you think they're actually bright enough to know anything about Titanic history, then come up with ragtime tunes that were popular in 1912, since that's what the band actually played)

...the GOP holds. The Executive is counted as 50%.

I'd be sullen too.

10. Whatever on this report... I didn't watch
I guess I'll take your word for it but I am a little surprised. I've read the LA Times Brownstein pretty regularly over the past few months and he did not come across like much of a Bush whore to me. Why now?
Strange time to change to the dark side. Oh well.

12. Woodruff is an embarrassment
Edited on Mon Nov-01-04 04:06 PM by Julius Civitatus
I've said it for years: Judy Woodruff is an embarrassment to her profession. The way she has sold out to the Repugs and openly cheered for them is beyond the pale.

I hope when all is said and done, we remind these "media whores" what they did during the Bush regime. Judy, Wolfie, Candy, and the rest of the CNN embarrassment should be reminded of this for the rest of their careers.

17. Her son
She is married to Al Hunt, Capitol Gang guy, and he absolutely
became enraged about the stem cell issue because he said his son is
in a wheelchair and if there's any chance for his son, stem cell
is his hope. Now, doesn't that mean Judy's son is in a wheelchair?
I feel for the entire family however how in God's name can she be
for Bush? She must be truly deranged.

16. Woodruff is a joke, but Brownstein is great...
I didn't see the exchange you described cuz I refuse to indulge Judy any more.

But Ron Brownstein is one of the few national journalists who plays it straight. To call him a "repug" is seriously misinformed, even if you disagree with his assessment.

20. Pathetic CNN
I cannot believe that BIll Schneider actually made a throwaway comment talking about the young voters favoring Kerry and crediting Bruce Springsteen. God forbid they for ONCE allow that Kerry might actually be attracting any voters. It's always Clinton or Springsteen who's winning it for him. What an insult to the new voters, as if they can't think for themselves.

OK, I admit, as I said, it was just a throwaway comment and probably a stab at being lighthearted, but it just annoys me as part of the "Kerry can't connect" garbage.

22. I'm sorry, but while I see Bruce Springsteen as cool,
I don't see him bringing the 20 somethings to the poll as much as say Eminem could.

Bill Schneider and the rest of the CNN correspondents and reporters are out of touch.

I'm 32. I don't think the 18-24 set are huge Bruce fans.

26. Exactly!
I'm 39 and Springsteen is my generation, too. But 18- to 24-year-olds? I don't doubt some of them like Bruce, but to credit him for their interest is just more of CNN trying to smear Kerry as distant and unable to draw crowds on his own. Pisses me off to no end.

28. Soon Clowny Woodroff is going to have to paint a frown
on her face with that clown makeup.

She was very depressed. Dizzy Gilespie was near tears just incoherent talking points.

We need to GOTV and really make them cry on national tv.

Judy has two facial expressions: sullen and despondent.
