For your 'undecided' friends...GWB's Record, A Few of the Issues...
This is from one of the 10,000 or so lawyers who volunteered to help the Kerry campaign. It's a nice recap of bu$h's record and makes good talking points for those 'undecided' voters. ¿ (yea, I don't get how the f*ck anyone could be undecided either but wtf...):
_ _ _ _ _

1) Bush's dereliction of duty costing thousands of American dead. Bush ignored his CIA briefing on August 6, 2001 telling him of the imminent threat posed by Osama Bin Laden's plans to fly civilian airliners into our financial & military centers, and that Bin Laden had operatives in flight training within the US. This was defined as the gravest threat facing the United States & it was defined as "imminent". President Bush didn't pass the information on this imminent threat to anyone who could have taken actions to foil the plans, not the FAA, FBI, not to anyone. Instead Our absentee President went on another 3-week vacation (setting a record for vacations taken by ANY President). (Facts shown in the bipartisan 911 Commission Report.)

Compounding his dereliction of duty were this administration's lies immediately after the attacks. Lies told to the American public by President Bush, Vice-President Cheney & Condelesa Rice, when they went on TV & told us we had no warning of the attacks, or that anyone might use civilian airliners as missiles. (Facts shown in the bipartisan 911 Commission Report.)

Thousands died, Bush lied.

2) After 911 Bush promised we would use all of our forces to crush Al Qaeda. We Cheered as our troops headed to Afghanistan!! Within weeks Bush diverted 90% of our forces from the war on terrorists that attacked us, to a war without purpose. Sadam Hussein, who was a son of a bitch by anyone's standards but posed us no danger, is gone, while Osama Bin Laden is still leading Al Qaeda. Go figure!

3) The world's record for deficits, debts our grandchildren will still be paying off. More money was borrowed to prop up his irresponsible budgets & cuts in taxes for millionaires than was borrowed to win WWII. We each now owe a portion of that debt.

4) Bush got us in another Vietnam in Iraq.

Bush & Cheney have used many excuses for the war in Iraq, but the facts are that there were no imminent threats posed to us by Sadam Hussein. He had no weapons of mass-destruction. Iraq did not support Al Qaeda. Top-secret analysis of the information we had both before and after the war show this is true. Strange that Bush & Cheney can't admit this. Cheney is still claiming Iraq had ties to Al Qaeda. Bush refuses to admit their claims weren't true. (Facts shown in the bipartisan 911 Commission Report.)

Before Bush ordered our troops to invade Iraq, Iraq was a "potential threat" with no links to Al Qaeda and a secret police network used to eliminate any inroads by the wahibi Islamic fundamentalists. Since the invasion, Iraq is home to many radical groups intent on using any means to attack the US, with Al Qaeda groups operating freely, and over 1,000 of our troops have died there. Real progress!

Bush lied. Soldiers died. Over 1,000 of our soldiers, several thousands of their soldiers & over 100,000 Iraqi civilians have died in the war since we invaded Iraq.

Do you not remember George W. Bush's slam of Gore during the debates of 2000 by saying his presidency would never get stuck in the quagmire of nation building? Remember Bush's claim that he would never invade willy-nilly, and never use troops unless he had an exit strategy? What else could Iraq be called but nation building? How do we get out of Iraq?

Iraq's a war we can't pull out of because we have created a power-vacuum that will be filled by islamic extremists if we go. Then again, every day we stay in this war, Al Qaeda and other extremist groups have a recruiting coup as we are the occupying enemy, so we can't stay. We can't stay & we can't go. We are screwed. We'll stay for a while, pay a huge price, leave a fragile government in place that many Iraqi citizens see as American stooges, and leave Iraq a dangerous haven for terrorists that were not free to operate there before we invaded. It's a no-win situation that an intelligent President would have handled better.

5) 1.6 million private-sector jobs lost.

6) Empty the Social Security trust fund of $507 Billion Dollars to float his deficits & make millionaires richer.

7) Cut medicare benefits, military pay & veterans' benefits. (He claims to support our military but his budgets cut both their pay and benefits.)

8) Lied to the American public about his tax plan that raised net taxes on lower & middle income families while he claimed he cut their taxes. Only those making more than $200,000 actually saw the amount they pay in taxes go down. Sadly most still THINK they got a tax cut.

9) Disrupted the flow of oil from the middle east as he destabilized the region, causing a 50% increase in the cost of gas.

The list goes on. On each of these issues, "W" stands for "WRONG". Each of these issues standing alone would all be great reasons to send the big-W back to Crawford, Texas, where his hometown paper endorsed the Kerry-Edwards ticket. (I know it was bad for business for the Crawford paper to endorse Kerry, but a patriot has to do what is best for his country. I salute their courage!)

I can understand those that choose Bush because they want a cheerleader as President. I can understand those that choose Bush because of their religions and/or superstitions and naively believe Bush would make "their" religion/superstition the state religion, since he hints at this in his speeches to religious groups. I can understand those that choose Bush based on "like-ability". I can not understand ANYONE who can support Bush based on his performance.

If you believe the above "accomplishments" qualify Bush for reelection, you should vote for him.

If not, PLEASE help elect John Kerry as our next President. It is time for change, and this change will be an improvement! Share these facts with everyone who will listen. Vote. Ask others to vote Democratic. We need YOUR help. PLEASE do whatever you can.
