USA Today: Swing states lean to Kerry (it's all good!)
http://www.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/nation/polls/2004-10-31-poll-x_x.htm

Bush approval drops 2 to 48

In Florida, 30% of registered voters said they already had cast their ballots, using early voting sites and absentee ballots. They supported Kerry 51%-43%.

Terrorism was the most important issue cited by voters in the national poll and in Florida and Pennsylvania. But in four Midwestern states — Iowa, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin — the economy was ranked first.

1. Did they finally give up and realize that it's going to be a huge
Kerry victory?

18. I'm not so sure.
I still think Bush's strategy was to look like the sure winner going into the final days. Rove believes in the "bandwagon effect", which is to say he thinks undecideds abd keabers will choose who they think is winning.

9. The Nadir apologists would be enraged.
The independent candidate who helped swing the 2000 election to Bush isn't much of a factor this time. Among 1,573 likely voters, he was backed by 9.

How dare they accuse Saint Ralph, the hangdog fuckface, of swinging the 2000 election to Bush. Everyone knows he had nothing to do with it. He was just minding his own business. Why can't those damn corporatists leave Saint Ralph alone?

I finally got a chance to see the hangdog fuck speak. Not only is he an extremeley ugly, dishonest man with a foolish and childish approach to politics, but he's about on a par with Bush as a public speaker. Hems, haws, stops, starts, he wanders off some, uses the wrong words -- him debating Bush would be a fair fight. I'd give the edge to Saint Ralph, but only because he's so fucking ugly people would feel sorry for him, so he'd get sympathy points.

4. If Kerry has 51% and terrorism is the most important issue...
Does this mean that Bush has played the terror card and LOST?

8. Do You Guys Realize....?
Do you guys realize that during election night, many networks would call a winner of a state based on less that 35% of the vote?

Not to get overconfident but if this was Tuesday night already, Florida would be OURS!

10. 51-43.
Under what category do the other 6% of the voters fall? "Refused to name preference" or something like that? Kind of a mystery.

11. Karl Rove is wetting the bed as we speak.
You knew there was going to be a last minute break one way or the other. Personally I thought Sunday night would be a fair time to evaluate and decide which way it was going to be. I think the surgery may be a success.

20. Just a thought
There was a report from Iowa that 5% were not voting for president, just local races.

16. All the media should have been listening to us, and...
...America. The media kept spinning that "the OBL tape helps Bush", and the people said, "What the F are you guys talking about?" It only proved that this administration is Mission Not Accomplished!
