An Idea For Republicans (courtesy of the pizza dude)
Edited on Sun Oct-31-04 11:45 PM by Chichiri
I ordered a pizza tonight, and the dude who delivered it was a guy I know. He said he noticed the John Kerry sign in my window, and asked if I've voted yet (I guess this early voting thing is pretty hot!). I said no, I'm voting on Tuesday.

He said, "I voted already. But not for Kerry."

"Oh..." I said, a bit crestfallen but not really surprised, this guy's a conservative.

"Didn't vote for Bush, either."

"Oh? Who did you vote for?"

"McCain. Wrote him in."

I blinked. Then I thought about it and said, "Hey, that makes sense. He's more of a conservative than Bush is."

"Hell," said the pizza dude, "he's more of a PERSON than Bush is!"

So you Republicans who are reading this, listen carefully: if you really want to save this country from extinction, but can't bring yourself to vote for Kerry as it would fuck with your sense of identity too much, then at least vote for a REAL REPUBLICAN, like McCain. It works all around: you will at least have not directly contributed to the America-killer, you will have stayed true to your sense of self . . . and if you're a pizza dude, you may just get a double tip. ;)
