Why do they keep saying that Bush/Cheney have volunteers
while Kerry people have paid workers? Couldn't the RNC pay their workers? Also, what do they think Kerry's other volunteers (doing phonebanking and stuff) are? We aren't being paid.

1. Around here, the Bush/Cheney volunteers are PAID and the Kerry
ones are really volunteers!

Makes you wonder why the GOP has to pay them.

2. They'll probably use that as talking points about why W loses
Kerry had more money blah blah blah...

4. I heard that from a b/c spin doctor this morning
He said that Kerry Edwards had paid people canvasing and that were going to work the polls.
If Kerry winning on Tuesday is considered payment, I accept. But that will be the only thing of value that I will most likely take away from this campaign.

5. Because we have an inadequate and extremely lazy media.
Or possibly the media is on the payroll and there was nothing left for the volunteers.

10. GOP has run many classified ads in Cleveland offering $11 an hour
I've seen many classified ads in Cleveland papers offering $11/hour to canvass for the GOP. These might not be official republican offices, but are certainly being used for the campaign.

The volunteers in Cleveland for K/E '04 aren't being paid.
I volunteer for MoveOn and am not being paid.

I don't know how they get away with saying this...
why does the media just take what they say and repeat it?
Don't they "fact check" anything anymore?

If the media is simply going to repeat talking points... why even have a media.
Let Rove anchor the evening news.

sheesh

13. I got two cups of water...and I canvassed, phone banked,
made signs, worked the Edwards rally...and I'm going to be a poll watcher on Nov. 2nd...

So, if 2 cups of water is payment, sure...you could say that...
