How will you bear to watch Tuesady night?
I'm volunteering all day and I'll probably get home around 9:00pm. I don't know if I will be able to turn on the radio or TV all night.

If I don't watch TUesday night, I can't imagine getting out of bed to read the paper.

I'm scared shitless!!!

3. I will be quietly confident
Kerry will win because America does not reward incompetence. Kerry will win because it is a moral imperative. Kerry will win because he is the best man for the job.

4. What a fantastic picture of JK.
He looks so peaceful, and about 15 years younger.

To answer your question, I won't watch. I'll be
with my Mom, and she wants to go out to dinner and
shopping to take our minds off of things until we go
to the party the Democrats are having at the Convention
Center here in Portland.

She's got the right idea.

9. We're having friends over. We all took off Wednesday. I'll be
at the polls until they close, too.
I'm too old to drink much...I'm 49. I would feel like hell if I drank a lot. And first I'd fall asleep within two hours of the first drink.

I've never used pot, but if it were legal, for the first time in my life, I'd consider it. I have seriously thought I'm going to need some type of tranquilizer or anti-depressant if Bush wins. Can't use that stuff though because bipolar runs in the family and that would be dangerous for me to play with. Pot would likely be the best medical choice to calm me without damaging me (hell I've already chain smoked for 22 years, forget the lungs!). But I'm a straight laced person, 'cept for smoking tobacco, so, sigh, I may end up with a damn CORONARY INSTEAD!!!

10. I'm going to be palying a drinking game
with the help of Boones Farm. When Kerry wins a state, drink. When Kerry wins a red state, finish your drink. When some republican whore says something crazy and over the top, drink. And when Kerry wins, break out the 7 dollar champagne!

15. I'm volunteering as a poll watcher
that afternoon and evening, till the polling place closes. After that, I plan to go to an election return watching party they're having here at a large theater. I hope I'll be able to get in, or they have an overflow location.

16. I've discovered something called Xanax
Last time I had it (a year ago) you could have told me an asteroid was heading toward Earth and would destroy all life as we knew it in two days and I would say "cooooool...think of the crater it'll make."

19. I don't know if I can bear to watch. :(
Really -- I got sick-to-my-stomach nervous during the debates, and during that silly Redskins game today, even though I knew it was totally meaningless! I'm thinking I might need to go somewhere where there won't be a TV and I can't get on the Internet.

Either that, or start cracking open the wine the second I get home from work. (Assuming I get to work in the first place -- I'm going to the polls first thing in the morning and staying in line as long as it takes to VOTE.)

20. Rotgut, barkeep, and line 'em up
I think I incurred a genuine emotional trauma from that long night two years ago and the battering procession of NBC bastards barely disguising their glee as they announced one lost Dem race after another. I can't watch and I can't not watch, so I need to blunt the edge as much as I can.
