Whats the deal with Fox showing X Files for the Sunday movie

I know its halloween and all. I've never seen this movie before, but the opening 20 minutes pretty much played up the terrorist fears and blew up a big federal building. Fox trying to pump up the fear level before Nov 2???

Maybe its just my tinfoil hat needs adjusting :)

I was watching my new Godfather DVD, and decided to pause for a few minutes to see what was on regular TV, and the first thing I saw was Scully talking about terrorist bombs.

I'm watching the Godfather again now :).

I think Fox was counting on game seven of the World Series tonight, and X-Files was on Fox network and they need to show alternative programming instead of the World Series. So, X-Files it is. It most likely isn't some deep dark conspiracy, especially since X-Files, the movie was just that, a movie. So maybe your tinfoil hat is on a little too tight.

Most of it is about aliens and stuff.

4. Simpsons was to be a halloween episode repeat tonight

David Duchovney's in the movie, so that was a turnoff. But if the plot was about terraists blowing up a fed building... :tinfoilhat: indeed.

thought the world series would be going to game 7 (hahahah NOT!) which is why tv was all repeats all weekend ...wicked pain when you are looking for something mindless and trying to escape another hour of politico garbage on cable tv only to find your Law and Order is a repeat of one from two weeks ago...

Most of the movie is about aliens and a secret society making some sort of virus. Hey at least I get to watch Gillian Anderson in High Def :)
