Rebel yell: I shouted "Bush Sucks" at Bush-Cheney supporters on our
main street, here in Hoboken, New Jersey. I couldn't help myself- it must be all the stress. But the site of them parked with their enormous Bush-Cheney '04 sign, waving American flags sent me over the edge. A woman walking in front of me turned around and said, "That's classy!". But it felt so good, I did it twice.

Anyone else here have a moment like that? Should I be ashamed?

1. Screw her.
1) It was Hoboken.

2)Hoboken is in NJ. In NJ, the phrase "Go Fuck Yourself" is a friendly good morning greeting. ;-)

3)It was brief and accurate. That is always classy.

2. yeah, I have moments like that.
I feel somewhat ashamed, the Bush supporter in my neighborhood (lawn sign) was backing out of their driveway in their caddy-lack, and I laid on the horn in my Volvo...

4. She should read the Constitution, right up front is says...

"or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble"

You can say what you want, when you want in this Country. Don't forget that....

6. I just went by early voting
the line is still out the door and down the block.

A couple of young Bush supporters were leaving carrying their signs, so I slowed down to yell at them.

I asked them, "What the hell were they doing here living the soft life? How come they weren't in Iraq fighting Bush's war?" That usually pisses off the young ones pretty good.

I'll tell you what, I surprise myself at some of the things I've been doing and saying in public lately. I just can't seem to shut up anymore.

9. Don't be ashamed.
I think we're all a little frustrated with the state of decay in our political system and we vent our stress to prevent having a nervous breakdown, albeit sometimes in odd ways. Personally, I flip the bird at every B/C sign I see and even throw an ocassional double bird at the large ones. Thumbs up for K/E signs...

13. We drove by a Repuke rally today
they waved and I did nothing, and here's why: In January, February, and March of 2003, I was out on the same street protesting the (then) potential war in Iraq. The freepers drove around giving us the bird, yelling and screaming at us. We answered with "You are exercising your constitutional rights and so are we." That's what I said when I saw the rally today.

If yelling at them made you feel better, more power to you. In my case, I did what I wished the repukes/freepers had done to us when we protested.
