I listened today to a tape of Mike Malloy last night and then the tape went bad after some guy, a software designer, told Mike that he thought that the Bin Laden thing was part of a scripted rationale to be used in conjunction with touch screen rigging. He said that 30% of the nation votes on touchscreens and, since there's no verification, it will be rigged. Gee, ya think the repugs would do something like that?
He went on to speculate that he thought it would give shrub the victory and the Bin Laden tape would serve to rationalize the dramatic turn-around Shrub makes from the ongoing poll results. Our asshole media would simply say that people had terra on their minds when they voted and felt Shrub would protect them better. In other words, the Bin Laden thing was an orchestrated Rovian cover/explanation for the touch screen riggings that would give * a landslide victory.
Now, bear with me. I've felt better and better about our chances with every passing day. I need your thoughts on this nightmarish scenario, however. I'm only human and feel like an expectant father in regards to this election.
The last thing I heard Mike Malloy say on the show, or the tape of the show before it broke, was that he didn't agree. Anybody know what he said afterwards?
I have never wanted a candidate to win more than I want Kerry to win! I have contributed a lot to the campaign despite some personal trauma my family has been going through. I can't imagine Kerry not winning.
Our election system is so screwed up that I try not to think about it. When I do, however, I get very, very nervous. Obviously.
