I know I am crazy to listen to Limbaugh and Hannity but.....
This week, in my opinion, was the telling week for the election for me. Limbaugh said that he met with Republican bigwigs in New York. His preaching on the talking points was panic. He talked loud and fast. He repeated some key points over and over. As for Hannity, he was whining more than usual. He is begging people to get some friends, take them to the polls to vote. If you do that we will win. He is currently running around to all the battle ground states with Ollie North, Neil Boortz (the Libertarian)and Bill Bennett doing three shows a day.
People, they are worried. John Kerry will win this thing.+

1. I noticed the same thing in my local right-wing radio nuts....
frantically repeating the tired Kerry flip-flop argument, etc.

3. I drove by a corner where Bush people were trying to drum up support
I drove by 2 hours later after my GOTV meeting and they had taken down their signs and were standing in a sad little group. We are going to win.

2. I noticed this in '02.
The closer to election time, the louder and faster Limbaugh talks.

4. I listened to Hannity...
and I agree...the shrill was louder than usual...also the bragging...you can read between the lines and figure pretty fast they're worried. Listen Wednesday - that ought to be even better..maybe he'll have "Newt" and Ann Coulter on....

5. I would think that
OxyRush, Blackjack Bill Bennett, and Ollie "Shred City" North would not be the best advocates to get the right wing evangelical vote out.

6. He sounded subdued yesterday afternoon
I tuned in torwards the end of the show on my way home from dinner. One of his guests predicted a W win because of absolutely massive voter turnout in the urban areas. Said it would be too much for W to overcome. The guest seemed kind of down. I don't know who it was.

Another guest (pro Shrub) started talking about how he doesn't read internal polls and junk like that. Blah blah blah. I wonder what Bush's* internals are. They usually say those kinds of things if their internals are bad. He continued to say he was going on instinct and thinks that since dumbya is "likeable" he would probably win. It was a pretty weak prediction for the president. And this was just AFTER the OBL tape was published.
