Bin Laden Tape
I just feel absolutely ill about this. My stomach is in knots and I feel like I just want to throw up. We were so close. Now the media is going to turn around and whore for Bush the entire weekend. Halliburton story is gone. Explosives missing is gone. I mean within hours. It makes me sick to think that asshole will get another 4 years because some stupid ass people think Bush can keep us safe.

2. You kind of have it wrong.
Where did you get this idea the the media is going to make this a plus for the chimp? Are you projecting your hopes or something?

8. I don't think it is an unreasonable reaction
just not inevitable. My first gut reaction was that this could hurt Kerry pretty bad, because it's been actually proven that bush's* support goes up slightly when people are reminded of 9/11.

However, I think if handled well by the campaign, this can be used against the shrub by highlighting his failure as commander in chief.

7. It'll work both ways
Some will vote for the Shrub because of it, but nearly as many will stay home rather than take the risk. And yet others will vote AGAINST Georgie because of this.

There will be a slight uptick for Georgie because of it, but not enough to offset Kerry's lead.

11. Nah
Those people were already voting for Bush.

It might scare off some of the scaredy cats from the polls.

But they were already voting for Bush too.

Maybe, just maybe, it will remind the alleged "security moms" that we aren't safer, though.

12. The reason I say this is because
the media has been against Kerry since the very beginning. They twist everything to make Bush look good and Kerry look bad. I'm sure they will keep playing the Bin Laden tape over and over again to scare the hell out of people. Personally, I don't see why it would work. I mean the public knows that we never caught Bin Laden. Also the fact that he still hates us should not surprise them. HOWEVER, the media is always talking about what a great leader GWB was after 911 (which is an absolute lie..he just did what any other leader would have did immediately following a tragedy). Then he made mistake after mistake following that. However, the media likes to portray him as this wonderful leader. Anyway, I hope I'm wrong. I would never ever wish that GWB get more support from this. I want that man out of office more than anyone could imagine. My husband is active duty and I don't want that asshole having my husband's fate in his hands when he makes such mistakes in foreign policy. I have worked my butt off volunteering to keep Bush out. However, I think it is normal that i would feel defeated to have a tape come out like this that basically highlights what the America people claim they like about GWB (that he is a strong leader and will protect us from terror..which is an absolute lie btu that is another story. Anyway, those are my opinions. I was VERY VERY upbeat the past few days for Kerry but I just think people being scared will make them cling to Bush. It really depends on how the media plays it. If they are going to keep playing it every couple of minutes until election day it coudl have an effect. I don't know...

4. You think we're THAT changeable?
What contempt you have for your fellow citizens.\

What did the tape change? Bin Laden is still free, with lots more explosive power as a free gift from George. Maybe he'll blow up Cleveland as a demonstration of his power. Which will tell us that George can protect us?

Think about it, Chicken Little.

5. You give up so easily!
Kerry is going to box Bush's ears over bin Laden, and that tape of Bush saying "I don't know where he is, I'm not concerned" is going to be playing again and again. Doesn't this Osama tape piss you off? We've had years to get him! What makes anyone think Bush will get him in 4 more? Time for new management!

9. Take some courage from your own ID -- Help IS on the way!!!!!!
We knew that something like this was coming, so this is absolutely no surprise.

In fact, this bit of business is right on time -- Friday afternoon, perfect for the weekend news round-ups.

Don't think for one second that Kerry hasn't anticipated this -- he has, and he **will** counter it effectively!
