Kerry Statement on Bin Laden Tape

West Palm Beach, FL Senator John Kerry released the following statement today:

In response to this tape from Osama bin Laden, let me make it clear, crystal clear. As Americans, we are absolutely united in our determination to hunt down and destroy Osama bin Laden and the terrorists. They are barbarians. And I will stop at absolutely nothing to hunt down, capture or kill the terrorists wherever they are, whatever it takes. Period.

2. Yup
If he was going to be that generic she shouldn't have even bothered. This only brings attention to the tape (having him a * responding)

6. Chimpy was pretty bland
Didn't say much, either.

I think the attack dogs are going to be the ones duking it out on this one.

7. There's not enough bite to it.
I think a far more effective response would be that Bin Laden's days of hiding are numbered with Kerry entering the White House.

8. No Peeps! this is a GREAT reply.
Kerry is reinforcing the truth about himself: that he is DECISIVE. He should NOT use this as a political attack against *. He needs to stay above the fray and look presidential. Better to reinforce the image that he is decisive and clear on how he will handle terrorism. This way he can undermine Bush's pathetic attempts to paint him as a weak waffler.

11. imo
kerry's response was presidential...

it was bang on!

it wasn't about bush...it was about the US and kerry going after bin laden and his network. kerry's response was done as if he were president and he had to respond.

to go along with this, it's no reason for them to shut their campaign down and spend hours going on about this. his statement is made. the pundits will spin and spin and spin.

17. I suppose you're right, but...
taking the high road with the Republicans has proven to be a bad idea. I hope Kerry is prepared.
