Bin Laden's tape: The KEY is the media spin
Granted that bin Laden's reappearance should he actually be back ought to spell disaster for Bush and his incredible failures. BUT!!!! What will the media say over the next few days??? Will it be a call to the US public to stick with Bush to keep the USA "safe" from the big bad boogeyman?

More thoughts: the timing of this is so incredulous that it reads like a WWE storyline. Are the USA public so gullible that they would let their strings be pulled by the puppetmasters? A fucking resounding YES!!! Dumb fuckers.

2. Absolutely...
and that's why it is KEY that a unified, assertive response be put forward. I say don't stop attacking Bush for even one second. He's incompetent and focused on Iraq and made it a terrorists' paradise instead of ripping out the roots of it in Afghanistan and elsewhere.

6. That was my thought
They figured yesterday's tape and today's press conference would crush Kerry permanently. When those bombed miserably, time for plan B.

It gives us a huge piece of ammunition to throw at him.

Bush = Miserable Failure!
Bush = Miserable Failure!
Bush = Miserable Failure!
Bush = Miserable Failure!
Bush = Miserable Failure!

Pass it on!!!

4. How lucky
I agree. Isn't it "lucky" for the Bush Administration that this came out today? I mean, have you heard anything about the missing explosives lately, huh?
I'm not into conspiracy theories but according to the the former military guy on CNN they knew what was in the tape, since in announcing it they mentioned it talked about elections.
Manfactured? I don't think that. But the timing of it coming out now?
hmmmm.... lucky
We MUST get these bastards out of office and start looking into ALL of their lies and deceptions and put the responsible people in jail.
Unfortunately, how it plays in now in the hands of that "liberal" media, the corporate whores.

5. Spin, Shmin!
There's only one credible message from the bin Laden tape: Mission Unaccomplished!

Remember Bush said on September 17, 2001: "I want justice. There's an old poster out west, as I recall, that said, "Wanted: Dead or Alive."

This is a reminder of another Bush failure. There shouldn't be a single sane person in this country voting for Bush now.

7. Yep, I agree
The only thing this might do for Bush is make the solidly red states more red. I think Randi Rhodes on AAR should give people in swing states more credit.

11. And remember what the chimp said on March 13, 2002?
Something about OBL wasn't a concern of his and that he didn't spend much time thinking about OBL.

13. Hell with the spin. It's too late.
As we saw with the DWI dodge last time, this is too late to change many minds. Bush is gonna get 47% nationwide plus or minus two percent.

The question now is whether or not Shrub gets close enough to steal it again.

If Shrub uses Osama to raise the terror rating and disrupt voting, then Osama gets his wish. But as a public relations tool, this is gonna be an even split.

14. Just heard on MSNBC
Viscious, and immediate, spin against the Kerry campaign response. I hadn't even HEARD the Kerry response, yet here is spin against it?

Meanwhile, I'm seeing lots coverage of complaints against poll workers who are encouraging people to vote for Kerry. Yet I'm seeing no coverage of complaints about Texas electronic voting machines switching votes to Bush when a voter selects an all democratic ticket. I've yet to see that on ANY major news channel.

15. media will spin for Bush, Bush Bush
Sorry, this is bad news for Kerry. I wish it were otherwise. Bush, for some ungodly reason, gets high marks for fighting terrorism and this also knocks all the scandals off the front pages.
