DU Talking points we need to stress on Bin Laden tapes

this was posted at another forum but I believe this is the spin we need to press hard.

This tape is PROOF America is still not safer.

This tape is PROOF that America is not better off with only Saddam in jail.

This tape is PROOF Bush should not have taken focus off Bin Laden.

This tape is PROOF Bush has failed in the war on terror and that a FRESH START IS NEEDED!

1. I think that we can turn it around on them

and use their weapon against them -- except, we would actually be correct.

If you look at the graph below, you'll see that Bush gets a little boost in his approval ratings each time a terror threat emerges. What would you do, if you were a terrorist and wanted to help Bush win? Of course, you would do what seems to consistently work: make a threat right before he is up for re-election.

Therefore, it's obvious that Bin Laden is trying to help Bush.

And I am pretty sure that once we know the content of the tape (some variation of "vote for Kerry, Americans!), this point will be further supported.
