Did anyone else notice Re Press Conference
that Al Qaqaa was "in the area of duty" I didn;t hear any confirmation that they definitely were in Al Qaqaa for this ordinance mission.

So this big number of tons was in an area that Included Al Qaqaa among other sites.

This is a shell game to give a suggestion of plausibility to the base.

IMHO the Bushies blew it when they got caught in the lie by the emergence of the video. They can't undo that.

3. All of Iraq is in the "area of duty".
if they wanted the site guarded there would have been specific orders to do so. Since we used WMD's as the excuse to invade Iraq, not guarding this known site is unconscionable.

:dunce:

4. This whole incident for me at least
just shines the light on the fact that they should have had more troops on the ground guarding these places. They had no plan at all it would seem for anything.

6. And as I recall - they had no GPS coordinates to prove where they

removed the explosives from.

All they had was a map with a big red square covering a large area that included Al Qaqaa among others.

The other problem they eraised was that they said this mission was called in by the 101st to perform this on the 13th, but the video proves that the 101st only got there on the 18th.

You can call in support for a mission before you have even gotten there to see that you need support...
