What kind of day do you think 11/2 will be?
I've got PEAD. Pre-Election Anxiety Disorder, that is. My mouth is dry, my stomach's upset, and I can't sleep at night. I am VERY worried about Nov. 2.

Don't get me wrong -- I truly believe that the collective will of this nation wants Chimpy out of the White House. My concerns lie with the Pukes. They're getting desperate, and I fear what they will stoop to on Tuesday.

I know there are plenty of lawyers and good guys on our side, and they are motivated to fight back. However, I can't help but feel there will be serious turmoil on Tuesday, and possibly violence.

The pukes will do everything in their power to harrass and intimidate voters. How can they hope to get away with this without looking like thugs? I hope a public display of this behavior will be the straw that breaks the elephant's back.

I hate to be so negative. DU has been like a ray of light for me over the past few months, but when I read about what's going on in Ohio and Florida, it turns my stomach.

1. I've got the same concerns
Just posted in the lounge about anxiety and stress. My back is killing me, I feel like I am getting an ulcer, and I can't focus on anything! Not sure there is going to be enough alcohol to get me through the next few days!

4. Saturday rally
I'm hoping to go see Clinton in Santa Fe on Saturday. I'm sure that will boost my spirits.

I just hope for a peaceful Tuesday.

(and a helluva party Tuesday night)

5. It will be a day when "patience is a virtue" will be repeated endlessly
It'll be a day where people are going to want to know before they go to bed that night (or worst case, when they wake up on the 3rd), WHO their president is for the next four years.

We have three scenarios:

1). A "normal" election, results in, no litigation, etc.

2). An election equal to the Bush-Gore battle and aftermath of 2000

OR

3). Something worse. By that I mean not only a second "stolen election" but what happens when the public reaches its full boiling point and realizes that we're going watch 100,000 more Americans die in Iraq, we're going to approve war spending that will make your grandchildren choke when the time comes to pay the bill, Bush will probably move forward on a "National Sales Tax" that means you will pay 150 to 160 percent of the sticker price on EVERYTHING you buy, etc...it's counterproductive at this point to even CONTEMPLATE what he would do with another four years and an open playing field.

I want to remain an optimist, because I can't control what's going to happen. So I'd say "smoke if ya got 'em," get up early, vote, and find something worthwhile to focus on while the wheels are turning.
