4. Thom Hartmann is the best of left talk.
It may not be popular to say amongst such a large population of Mike Malloy listeners, but Hartmann is rational, thoughtful, even-tempered, and on balance, very positive. I generally agree with Malloy, but when he talks about the "Bush bastards," I must say, he really turns me off. Hartmann, on the other hand, has principled arguments based upon solid and consistent philosophical underpinnings. His show is not only the "Democracy Zone," it is the thinking man's talk radio. I am among his greatest admirers.

6. I learn something interesting
virtually everytime I listen to him. He elevates talk radio with his knowledge of history and psychology as well as his unfailing courtesy. I wish there were more voices like his out there. BTW, I also like John Batchelder who's a conservative.
