Flailing DeLay Continues to Attack (email from Morrison campaign re kos)
In a transparent act of desperation, trying to drag Richard Morrison into the mud, Tom DeLay really stepped in it instead. He accused a popular political writer and U.S. veteran of contributing funds to terrorists. Read further to see Richard's response...

Tom DeLay is digging in vain for any trick in his bag that will pull him out of his self-made hole. We believe that District 22 voters are too smart to fall for it, but we still need to counter the DeLay attacks with the Morrison Message. Richard's ads must keep running. Please donate today.

Here is Richard's statement from yesterday:

"Tom DeLay has crossed the line many times before but this time he’s gone beyond the pale…even for Tom DeLay. In a desperate attempt to shore up his support by making outrageous claims about me he has libeled an American veteran. He claims DailyKos is an organization that raises money for anti-American Iraqi fighters. This is a bald-faced lie."

"DailyKos is not an organization. It is a blog written by Markos Moulitsas Zuniga, a veteran of the U.S. Army. DailyKos doesn’t shy away from pointing out DeLay's ethical and legal problems but that doesn't make Markos a terrorist sympathizer."

"This is the United States of America and freedom of speech is a right that Tom DeLay can't override just because he doesn't like what you’re saying…even if he thinks he is the federal government."

Help keep Richard on the air, and tell Tom DeLay that the First Amendment is a right of all American citizens, not just corporations and his yes-men.
