4. What? It's EVERYWHERE this morning.

And just wait... this story will have legs going into the weekend.

Republicans are hanging their hopes that the contents of these cases are not HMX and RDX. Unfortunately, KSTP has video footage of the IAEA seals, complete with SERIAL NUMBERS.

All it takes is one glance in a database at the IAEA, and the whole world will know what was in those containers.

12. But they do have stories:
ABC says "Video Suggests Explosives Disappeared After U.S. Took Control: Evidence Indicates U.S. Military Opened Al-Qaqaa Bunkers, Left Them Unguarded" (http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/story?id=206847)
This story closes with the line: "what does seem clear is that the U.S. military opened the bunkers at Al-Qaqaa and left them unguarded. Since then, the material has disappeared."

CNN has this, which I can SWEAR was on their front page this morning, but now I have to search for it:
"Photo, video show Iraqi complex before, after invasion"
This story unfortunately tries to equate the ONE Pentagon photo (which doesn't conclusively show anything other than two trucks were at the site before we invaded) with the KSTP video (which CONCLUSIVELY SHOWS that at least some of the very same explosives that were under IAEA seal were still there AFTER we invaded). It's clear to anyone reading the story, however, that this is damning for the Bush administration. They even quote David Kay as saying that they're definitley IAEA seals at Al Qaaqa and "That's either HMX or RDX." David Albright confirms that it's HMX in the ABC story.

You don't really expect Drudge to carry it, do you?

Along with the lead MSNBC story and front page USAToday story, I don't think this is being ignored at all.

6. It's even on USAToday's front page! BTW, does anybody know how TV...
... is covering it (specifically, the cable news outlets)? There's some talk this AM on DU that Matt Lauer hit on it hard, hammering Paul Bremer, and that CBS showed it too. I see it on a number of news web sites, too (I hope it's on USA Today's paper edition front page!).

BUT, are the cable news pundits talking about it? Maybe it's too early (breaking yesterday afternoon as it did). maybe they'll be on it tonight?

I hope so. This one video single-handedly lends credence to everything the Kerry campaign has been saying about Bush. But it does not stand alone. It follows up on extensive reporting by CBS/NYT, as well as what both the IAEA and the Iraqi government
are saying.

I bet this is all over the sunday cycle. It will be hard to answer between now and then. Plus isn't cbs running the story on 60 minutes. And they have the benifit of the new data.
