question for people who only use cell phones

I have a Verizon cell phone, not a cheap one either, and the sound quality sucks compared to a land line. I only use the cell for emergencies.

Do you have a better cell phone than I do or something? How is it that your sound quality is so good that you can just dump the landline totally?

1. Get a GSM phone...

They're sold by Cingular Wireless, AT&T and T-Mobile.

GSM is the world standard and has far better sound quality than CDMA which is used by Verizon and Sprint.

2. I don't like only using it, but I"m never home.

3. I use a cell phone only.

When I had a land line, all I used that for was the internet, and had all phone calls fwded to my cell. My reception is just fine, except when I am in certain areas that don't have a nearby tower, or certain buildings which have a lot of interference. I guess their network infrastructure may be better in some areas than others.
