From the Foley (AL) Onlooker, 10/27/04:
"You can run, but you can't hide." I hear Bush* saying that about Kerry a lot lately. "He can run, but he can't hide."
Should Bush* have conceded that Kerry CAN, in fact, run? Was this admission a political faux pas? Is Kerry's apparent inability to hide a detriment to his campaign? Do you have to be a good hider to get elected?
I've actually seen John Kerry running, and he seems to be good at it, but I've never seen him hiding. (OK, I didn't SEE him running LIVE, but I saw it on TV. I guess it could have been just skillful computer generated special effects. But it sure looked real to me.)
Does this mean Kerry's really not very good at hiding, so he won't risk embarrassment by doing it on camera. If he DID it on camera, could the camera even record it? I mean, after all, he'd be hidden. This is more complicated than I thought.
If you bury your head in the sand (like an ostrich, say...or Bush*) so that YOU can't see anything, is that just as good as actual hiding? Or do you have to totally conceal yourself from everyone else's sight to be considered a skillful hider?
Could the Kerry campaign hire someone from the Bush* campaign to give him hiding lessons?
Inquiring minds want to know.
