The media not named foxnews, are overly harsh on Bush for the embarassment that led to the Iraq war. The media is not ever going to give Bush a pass. They got spun and cheered on for war because war is a good story. I think there was group think patriotism problem. No one was skeptical because no one wanted to be accused of anti-americansim.

The more I look at it, I think the Iraq war was used by the American people as a confidence booster. This war let us know we are still top dogs and no one is stronger than us. On 9-11 we felt vulnerbale. The meida was complicit. We had an urge and a rage to satisfy and the Bush Administration found an easy target. I think Bush himself needed that rage to be satisified.

I think it will not be looked at kindly in the history books, but for many Bush supporters they can't face reality like Ron Regan said on MSNBC last night.

When the media saw that Kerry has a pretty good chance of winning this, let loose on Bush. This damning crap has been going on for four years, but if the media ever wanted a story to go to someone else other than faux they had to play along. Now, Bush is toast, they know it, so they're letting loose. We all know how the media loves to rip people to shreds when they smell blood, well blood is in the water now!

And....the news media knows they did not do their job originally when they could have done more investigations BEFORE the war, and discovered that the intelligence had many disagreements. They know they could probably have prevented the war.
