7. I'm afraid I don't have much respect for Sully

He didn't step away from backing Shrub until his own self-interest was at stake -- namely, Shrub's support of the "Let's Enshrine Discrimination Against Gays in the Consitution" amendment.

Mind you, I speak as a woman in a same-sex marriage, so I feel I have a right to make this particular observation about Mr. Sullivan.

I'm not saying I reject his final "coming to the light". But Sullivan was as jingoistic a war-banger as any before the bombs started to fall and even for a long time after. Thus, I tend not to trust his conversion. He's as likely to turn on us the minute Kerry gets elected.

Or, to put this in other words -- A dog that bites keep on biting, even if the last guy he bit was somebody you didn't like. Know what I mean?
