5. I crapped my pants when he said that.....................
My brother had the biggest smile on his face and said "Bush is Burnt Toast, I can smell it. lol!"

At which point I agreed. My middle brother turns 18 in two years and is sorta starting to become aware of politics and how important it is to get involved, mom always told me he looked up to me and stuff :D

hope it rubs off on my little brother too......

8. I asked my bro
seems like it might have been one that may have been conducted locally in NW Ohio along the I-75 corridor........he said it may have been a Zogby or Gallup poll, but he is not for sure he only caught that numbers on the screen and the reporter talking the numbers.

4. This was not the darkest chapter.
Not for a country that went thru the Great Depression.

Not for a nation that fired on its own veterans.

Not for a land that has endured a civil war.

But the next chapter might have been.

7. history will only tell my friend.
I know it may be premature, but today I heard the FBI is investigating halliburton now and cheney. So, maybe in about 30 years, we will know for sure what we should already know now.....

12. That's too bad.
Because Zogby also says Kerry is leading 49-45 in Colorado, which I assure you he is not.

14. I don't know about that one
There are probably A LOT of closet dems in that state. I was just up that way for a day or so back in July in Colorado Springs and Pikes Peak, engaged some radom people in discussion wiht my little bro in tow and all that I spoke with despised W's policies in one way or another, and claimed to have been republican's all of thier life, but not voting that way this time. Take that for what it's worth I guess.

16. That's my hometown!
Were you downtown (you probably were)? South of Templeton Gap street (which could be anywhere, lol. ask COliberal to back me up on this), north of the Broadmoor and east of Union is kind of a liberal pocket. So is the village of Manitou Springs (population 3000). Other than that the whole place is pretty conservative. Downtown is the farthest you can get from a military base in the whole town.

Edited on Thu Oct-28-04 11:04 PM by WLKjr
Yeap, I drove all over downtown. Was in Manitou springs (btw, very clean town too, I was IMPRESSED with all the businesses? and stuff down that way(I think that is the part I drove through, not far from the cog railroad? and garden of the gods?) Yeah, seemed like my kind of town. I wouldn't mind living there If I could find a good job up that way.

pm me and I will tell you more about my trip through there.

24. Maybe I am, maybe I'm not...?
But I'll tell you this... I'd bet at least a stick of gum that come Nov. 3 I'll be saying "I told you so" to two groups of people. 1) My freeper friends, because Kerry will have won the election, and 2) you guys for thinking that Kerry might win Colorado. NM, WI, IA, MN, FL, NV, OH and NH will all go blue before CO, sad to say.

13. Great News !!!!!!!!
The Good Guys are going to win!
I'm almost tearful, after Zogby announced Kerry win prediction on the Daily Show, the new video release proving troops were in Iraq prior to disappeance of explosives, Halliburton suit, etc..

22. My Uncle has me bring him the DDN every Friday
I go to school down in Dayton and he LOVES that paper, all the locals suck so bad. He was stationed at WPAFB for a long time when I was little, swore up and down that that reason alone justifyed the AF as being the best branch of the military. Said that base was the best in OH and is possibly one of the best in the nation.
