30. And me.
Nothing like the look of HORROR in a wing-nuts face when I'd say "Everybody's working who wants to, the world likes us, and for the FIRST TIME in my life, I have DISPOSABLE INCOME...If that's what it takes to keep it coming, Hell, I'll DEEP-THROAT the guy!"

While I was watching his interview tonight, I thought he truely was a great President and will be remembered as such. The Monica crap won't be what defines him as many others were saying during that time.

Bush will remembered as the worse president EVER!

31. Bill Clinton was the first Democrat I ever voted for (ashamed)
When I was in the service, I fell for Reagan's shining city on a hill...

And later on while still in the service, I believed in HW Bush's 1000 points of light...

And then I realized that only rich people lived in the shining city on a hill, and the 1000 points of light were HW's Pioneers.

And they will never, ever, fool me again.

John

To my shame, I voted against Jimmy Carter, the only other good president (besides Clinton) that I can remember in my lifetime. I was in the service too. :/

They'll never fool me again either.

34. Given his support for NAFTA and the very harmful welfare 'reform'--
--can't say I like him much at all. I'll grant that he blocked some of the worst Rethug initiatives, though, and I appreciate that. Did you know that universal health care was put into the Dem national platform by Truman in 1948, and was removed in 1996? I really, really don't like that.

38. Am I one of the few people....
That has a middle-of-the-road opinion of Clinton (he's one of those people whom you really love or really hate). I mean, all in all, I believe he was a solid leader, but there are some policies I didn't like, such as the signing of NAFTA

With each day that Bush is in office, I get more and more nostalgic for the Big Dog.

BTW, I still refer to him as MY President. I have yet to call Shrub that and in a few more days I won't have to EVER. The entire time he has been in office I've refused to honor him with the title of President. He cheated and I didn't vote for him. So there--(lol)

I will remember his presidency as the "golden age," while I will remember the four years after he left as the "black age of darkness."

Now if things go well I might remember the next four years as the "silver or bronze age."

53. I miss him as President!
I love Bill Clinton SO much that around 1994 or thereabouts I filled out an application to be a WH intern. My now- ex husband, who was uber- controlling, said NO WAY, so it was never sent in. I would have LOVED to work anywhere NEAR him.

I've had the pleasure of meeting him 4 times. Every single one WAY too brief- Under 5-10 seconds- but incredible nonetheless.
