I read that Cong. Sharrod Brown has been appointed an elector for Kerry. Except that under the Constitution, federal office-holders are ineligible to cast electoral votes.

So we have to make sure we get at least 271 votes, b/c 270, the Republicans will challenge and turn it into a tie which'll go to the House.

There is a mayor who is an elector in WV that has already said he will abstain from casting his vote for Bush if Bush wins WV. So we still only need 270.
