At http://www.yesbushcan.com/ you'll find a lot of pro-Bush crap, and also this wonderful piece of news: after touring America stumping for Bush's policies, singing patriotic songs and passing out "Patriot Pledges," they have seen what Bush really did for America. Yesterday, they announced on their website--right on the index page--that they are now supporting John Kerry.

I tipped off the DNC about this defection.

I like this one best--the Petition to Rehabilitate Richard Nixon:

Whereas Richard M. Nixon's legacy includes Vice President Cheney, Secretary Rumsfeld, and Supreme Court Chief Justice Rehnquist, all of whom began their careers under Nixon;

whereas the Bush administration thus owes its very existence to Richard M. Nixon;

whereas Mr. Nixon has been savagely accused by liberals of permanently soiling the Presidency;

whereas Mr. Nixon's indiscretions would barely, today, break the front page for a day or two, before being successfully "spun ";

therefore we the undersigned call for the complete rehabilitation of President Nixon, including:

9. Damn fine satire

I agree that it is a spoof, but like all good spoof (as in the Onion) some of it comes painfully close to truth. I was esp. struck by one of the patriot pledges where you pledge your children for the war.

As you know, I found at least one Conservative commentator who was doing just that, and urging his fellow Conservatives to do the same.
